The 13th Warrior - Halga the Wise's helmet and bloodied armor

Picture
This costume is the armor worn by Halga the Wise (Asbjorn "Bear" Riis), who is the 10th warrior to join the group.  This specific armor is worn during his fateful battle against the Wendol, when Halga is killed.

The helmet is made from metal painted to look like copper and has been purposefully distressed by the art department. It has a tall fin and wide rim, attached to which is a face guard with circular decorative holes and leather to protect the actor's face. The inside of the helmet has been lined with padding then covered in leather. Wrapped around the main body of the helmet is a leather band with a metal oval emblem featuring a lion. One of the face guards has been removed post production and has some slight dents in places, but it is still an easily recognizable piece. The helmet measures 15” tall, 14.5” long and 12” wide.

The armor is made from a leather base that has additional straps of  leather which intersect each other. Attached to the leather are sections of  thick rope that run down both sides of the torso and wrap around the upper arms.  This armor has been splattered with stage blood and include a pair of bracers  and a belt, both of which are made from leather and have steel plates riveted to  them. Also included with this costume is a pair of dark green leather pants,  light brown leather boots, and a large wool cloak. The pants are heavily  bloodied and come with a zipper fly that is hidden with a patch of leather. The pants, boots, and belt have all been marked with “Halga.”

The belt was not worn during his death scene, but instead it was worn by Halga during a campfire scene as well as it was worn by Weath the Musician during the last battle of the movie.  The metal greaves are actually from the show Spartacus, but were added to make the costume more "complete," although Halga has a slightly different style of greaves during the movie.

The costume and helmet each have a COA from the
Prop Store of London.

Last Knights - Ito's Hero Costume

*Screen-Matched*

Picture
I didn't know what to expect when I first watched Last Knights, but I ended up really enjoying the movie.  My favorite part of the movie, though, was the character Ito, played by Japanese actor Tsuyoshi Ihara.  He stole the show for me every single time he was on screen.  Ito was Gezza Mott's commander of the guard and his personal retainer/body guard.

This is his hero costume consisting of his cloak with leather collar, his leather shoulder armor, leather belt, leather wrist cuffs, black boots, black pants, red shirt, red gloves and red tunic.   The leather on the back of the cape's neck area can be screen-matched to the scene where Ito kills a disrespectful guard during the evacuation of Bartok's lands.  The boots have cuts running the length vertically along the back of them and the cape has a slight tear around the left shoulder where the separate piece hangs downward on the front of the body.

The costume has a COA from Premiere Props.

Last Knights - Ito's Guard Armor/Costume

Picture
This is one of Ito's Guards costumes which consists of the following: wine red long cape with leather and ties at the neck, black leather chest armor with embroidered logo on the front with multiple straps and ties , wine red vest with padding ties at the side and shoulders, wine red shirt with long sleeves with ties in the back of the neck, black leather armor belt, black leather wrist protection, and grey pants.   The emblems on the cape are metal and the chest emblem can be removed as it is held on the back with Velcro.

This style of armor was worn during Raiden's attack on Gezza Mott's castle at the climax of the movie, most notably when the knights enter the castle and are confronted by Commander Ito.

Has a COA from Premiere Props.

WWE - Sin Cara wrestling gear

Picture
Sin Cara is my  son's favorite wrestler, so I couldn't pass up the chance to own some authentic wrestling gear of his.  Sin Cara, which means "Without Face" or "Faceless," is a WWE wrestler with a superhero lucha libre look and a high-flying style.

This set includes the mask, arm bands, wrist cuffs, and pants in a classic Mexican color scheme of red, white and green.  This set could be seen on many of Sin Cara's pre-match "VERSUS" shots on NXT, WWE Superstars, as well as on the WWE website and WWE video game.  This set was worn by Jorge Arias, who wrestled originally as Hunico and then became the second WWE iteration of Sin Cara.  It is signed on the mask as well as the tights.  Has a COA from PPWF2006.

These were a gift for my son, so these are not for sale no matter the circumstance.

Beauty and the Beast - Early Poster Concept Art

Picture
This poster was created using mixed media on illustratrion paper, measuring 14" x 17". Signed on the bottom left "M. Hobson" for Michael Hobson, who also did concept art for Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, Pocahontas, Oliver and Company, Tangled, Lilo & Stitch, etc.

The artwork is taped to a larger piece of paper, and a clear mylar sheet is taped to the front. This early concept artwork shows the process of character development in visual form for both Belle and the Beast.   Purchased through Screenused's first auction in 2012, it comes with their COA.

My wife and I love Beauty and the Beast, so I jumped on the chance to own this wonderful work of art.  It is currently framed and hanging on our bedroom wall!

Not Another Teen Movie - Reggie Ray's High School Letter Jacket

Picture
Original school letter jacket (John Hughes High School) worn by actor Ron Lester as he portrayed "Reggie Ray" in the hit parody "Not Another Teen Movie" (2002).  Size 4XL (it's huge!) and has a Certificate of Authenticity from Columbia Pictures.  Simply awesome, very signature look and one of my favorite pieces I own.  It was not actually worn on screen in the final edition of the movie, but can be seen worn by Ron Lester in the bonus feature segments.
